About the Instructor:
Steven Weiss, President of The Weiss Group, is a business strategist with more than 25 years of experience at some of Northern California’s most prominent public, private and nonprofit organizations. Prior to establishing his consulting practice, Weiss was vice president of Marketing & Public Affairs for The Sacramento Bee. He previously served as director of University Cultural Programs at UC Davis, chaired the building committee, and served on the leadership team that generated philanthropic support for the $60 million Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts. Weiss is a Capital Public Radio board member and serves on Sacramento’s Creative Edge Steering Committee to develop a regional arts, culture, and creative economy plan.

Road Maps is designed to meet the needs of all sizes and types of arts and culture non-profit organizations. Ideal attendees include executive staff, board members, and key volunteers.

Registration is $40 online by May 24th, then $50 at the door. Includes 10:00 am coffee/refreshments and lunch

Road Maps is an ongoing workshop series aimed at strengthening and elevating northern Nevada’s arts and culture sector. Through topic-specific workshops, arts and culture leaders will gain a comprehensive set of tools, skills, and guidelines to help maximize their community impact.

Series co-presented by the City of Reno, City of Sparks, Reno Arts Consortium, Sierra Arts Foundation, Nevada Arts Council, Nevada Humanities, and Washoe County.
