Teaching Artists for Art Barn Workshops

The Art Barn Workshop at Mt. Charleston Library invites teaching artists from Clark County, Nevada, to share their art practice with families in the serene setting of the Mt. Charleston Library.

The library is situated in the peaceful village of Mt. Charleston, approximately 45 minutes from downtown Las Vegas. As there is no public school in the community, the Art Barn Workshop offers a weekly program on Thursday afternoons, providing a vital space for creativity, community gathering, and fun for makers of all ages.

Our mixed media journaling practice is open to all forms of media, with a special emphasis on practices that celebrate nature. We believe everyone creates differently, and that’s perfectly OK.

If you are an artist who resonates with the Art Barn’s mission and values and wants to enrich your life and your resume with meaningful art experiences, we invite you to join us as a volunteer Guest “Adventure Guide.” You would be responsible for providing your transportation and materials to share, while the Art Barn and the Library District will provide a beautiful setting, some art supplies, and a structure of kindness with ground rules and snacks.
