Summerlin – Request For Proposals Outdoor Sculpture

WHATSummerlin®, a master planned community development of Howard Hughes Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: HHH), today announces it is seeking proposals from qualified artists to provide designs for an outdoor sculpture to be located at a future retail center at Downtown Summerlin®, a 400-acre urban center in the heart of the community.

Initial responses are due November 10, 2023, and should include artist bio and previous work samples. Finalists, who will be selected based on past work and qualifications, will receive additional information about the project, including dimensions and specific location. Finalists will then be asked to submit their respective designs for consideration. The winning artist must be able to design, build and install their sculpture for a budget not to exceed $80,000 to include materials, artist fee and installation.
The sculpture, which should feature a vertical orientation, should be designed with a minimum height of 23 feet and a maximum height of 35 feet. It must be made from durable, low maintenance materials and built to withstand Southern Nevada weather and outdoor elements for decades. The sculpture will serve as a centerpiece of a future retail development at Downtown Summerlin anchored by Whole Foods Market.
The RFP is open only to artists who are residents of Nevada.
