The Nevada Arts Council Teaching Artist Roster will be accepting applications

The Nevada Arts Council will begin accepting applications for the Teaching Artists Roster on September 5, 2023. Interested applicants must submit their materials by October 20, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. PST.

The Teaching Artists Roster is an opportunity for artists based in Nevada to share their skills with the community. As a teaching artist on the roster, you’ll be able to offer workshops, classes, and residencies to schools, libraries, community centers, and other venues throughout the state.

Teaching Artists have access to the Arts Learning Express Grant offered by the Nevada Arts Council. The Arts Learning Express Grant is designed to support a short-term teaching artist residency for up to $1,500 with no match required.

The Teaching Artist Roster is a valuable resource for organizations, schools, and communities looking to broaden and diversify participation in the arts. The roster artists represent a wide range of art forms and are experienced in collaborating with schools and communities to conduct learning in, through, or about the arts. Teaching Artists have program experience with at-risk youth, English language learners, folk arts, and Creative Aging.

Being on the roster is a way for artists to earn extra income, connect with the community, and share their passion for the arts with others. Interested artists in this opportunity are encouraged to submit applications before the deadline.
